Tip 1: Acquire a coach. I couldn’t do without one!
I needed all the help and support I could get when I started so I secured the services of Phil de Fégely. He’s an expert and has coached a couple of past winners. He really is first class at what he does.

The AVAA ( Auctioneers and Valuers Association of Australia) and NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Art) came together for a two day auctioneering training program. Day 1 was facilitated by NIDA which focused on how we communicate. Day 2 was facilitated by myself and was an introduction to auction linking the learning from Day 1. It was a fantastic two days and the feedback from the all attendees was very positive. Attendee background included, furniture, jewellery, art, general goods, cars, truck and machinery. Experience varied from 20 plus years to no experience at all. The next program is scheduled for March 2020.
