After meeting Phil at the Australasian competition in 2011, I sought his help in preparing for the 2012 competitions and my auctions in general. With Phil’s coaching and assistance I won the REIWA auctioneer of the year and made the finals of the Australasian 2012.

2012, 2013 & 2014 WA Auctioneer Champion & Dual Australasian FinalistI first met Phil back in 2015, where we engaged his services to conduct Auctioneering training for my staff. It became evident that Phil was not only a natural but, the best auctioneer I had ever seen. I soon after engaged Phil to Auctioneer at a land subdivision where five lots were being offered for sale by auction in one day. Phil and I worked well together, his advice, direction before the auction made sure we were in a perfect position, come auction day. The auction was a huge success with $647,000 above the reserve prices achieved, a considerable crowd and thrilled vendors.
I only use Phil, and I will only ever use Phil for my auctions as I would never want to risk my vendor’s result by not using the best!

Director, Ferris GoldVSK … Footy Fever Debate was a winner!
Friday, 7 September 2012
The annual Footy Fever Debate supporting Very Special Kids was again a huge triumph, a fitting way to start of the AFL final series. The breakfast was held in the MCC Dining room and attracted a crown of over 500.
Hosted by Channel Seven’s Hamish McLaughlin saw the two sides debate “Is AFL tougher than Rugby”… Speaking for the affirmative was the former Federal Tresurer, Hon Peter Costello, former Geelong Cat’s Captain and great, Cameron Ling and of course debate regular and awarding scribe, The Age’s Caro Wilson. Speaking for the negative was John Ribot former Sport Administrator and NRL Star, former Wallaby Hooker Adam Freier and now sports commentator and NRL legend & co Fairfax colleague of Caro’s, Roy Masters.
The Rugby boys had an uphill battle with a pro AFL crowd but as always the debate provided huge entertainment. The major fundraising was done prior to the debate with a live auction and pledge conducted by myself. The pledge was $900 which is the cost for one child for one night’s stay in the VSK house in Glenferrie Road Malvern. The breakfast raised just short of 250k, not bad considering it was 8.00 in the morning. Seriously, it was an absolutely amazing result and will go along way to help the raise 1.7 million dollars needed every year to keep the house running.
Congratulations to all the many volunteers and the team at VSK, especially Amber Myers, who all do such a fantastic job.
