You have conducted the auction at the Caulfield Cup Calcutta in an exemplary fashion for many years. You extract a pool of approx. $40,000 with very entertaining remarks and accurate auctioneering. In the opinion of most people at the Calcutta you are the finest auctioneer we have ever heard and there are many real estate and country people who attend the auction.

Yesterday was Dad’s funeral at the Point Lonsdale Bowling Club. A fitting tribute, a celebration of a wonderful life of someone who was an inspiration to us all. Charlie, Rob and I all spoke along with Rob Knowles his parliamentary colleague who he shared an office with whilst he was the member for Ballarat Province in the Victorian Parliament. Will de Fégely, his eldest grandson spoke on behalf of all his 10 grandchildren.
The tributes had it all and many people stayed on to share the memories.
Dad would have loved it!
