Friday, 16 November 2012
Geelong Community based charity, Give Where You Live, set an all time record at it 21st annual Golf Day at Torquay Sands Golf Club last Monday.
Sponsored by E&S Trading and the classic was hosted by Geelong stalward and Cooderbeen Champion Ian Cover.Amongst the players were Geelong Cats Coach Chris Scott, Channel 7’s “Geoff Coxy” Cox, Melbourne Vixen Tegan Caldwell and Geelong Cats star and triple premiership player Steve Johnson plus a whole host of Geelong and district luminaries. Newly elected Mayor,Keith Fagg, found time in his schedule to join in the lunch.
The day was highly successful raising over $120,000 which included an auction where Ian and I worked the room to increase the fundraising total.
