AFL Final kicks off with charity breakfast debate for Very Special Kids

Hosted by Jim Wilson the debatee’s tackled the topic of \’Should the AFL support charity clubs?\’ The debate kicked off the Finals Series with robust discussion about the AFL\‘s equalisation measures.
Former AFL Chief Executive Officer Andrew Demetriou, North Melbourne legend Wayne Carey, Channel Seven\‘s news breaker Mark Stevens showed their charitable side in support of the AFL continuing to provide financial support of the poorer clubs.However, the crowd voted hands down to award the debate win to the Survival of the Fittest team, which comprised Essendon legend Tim Watson, Geelong premiership captain Tom Harley and musician and entertainer Greg Champion.The pledge and auction raised over $216,000.
