In particular, the Auction was a resounding success and all the monies raised on the night (in excess of $100,000) will be directly used for the Microsurgery Foundation’s research.

Black Caviar silks sells for 25k to support VSK.

An original set of racing silks signed by jockey Luke Nolan and trainer Peter Moody of the magificent mare Black Caviar was auctioned last night at the Stonnington Mayoral Ball supporting Very Special Kids (VSK) . The ball, at the Malvern Town Hall, was hosted by stars of Master Chef, Matt Preston was MC while his cohorts Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris served up a beautiful 3 course meal. An incredible 200k plus was raised for VSK which is an Australian children’s hospice that provides flexible family support programs, planned and emergency respite and end-of-life care for families caring for a child with a life-threatening condition.
