Tip 1: Acquire a coach. I couldn’t do without one!
I needed all the help and support I could get when I started so I secured the services of Phil de Fégely. He’s an expert and has coached a couple of past winners. He really is first class at what he does.

After meeting Phil at the Australasian competition in 2011, I sought his help in preparing for the 2012 competitions and my auctions in general. With Phil’s coaching and assistance I won the REIWA auctioneer of the year and made the finals of the Australasian 2012.

The Auction Coaches
Tuesday, 2 August 2016
I recently attended the Auction Coaches, Sunday, 31st July to Monday, 1st August 2016, which was a terrific event. Auctioneers came from New Zealand, Queensland, NSW, Victoria and South Australia. The format included presentations from past Australasian champions covering all aspects of auctioneering, break-out sessions where attendees were encouraged to call an auction to both fellow attendees and the auction coaches to be appraised. It\‘s well worth for auctioneers of any experience to consider attending this event. Well done to Jason Andrew and Scott Kennedy-Green.
