I have had many phone calls and letters following the event from our guests stating they have never been to such an event where they were part of a worldwide auction bid. Everyone felt involved both on the floor and overseas.

An auction at a fund raising dinner can be just an auction or it can also be part of the entertainment! You succeed in making it both an auction that brings in the money and entertaining at the same time, both for those who were bidding so spiritedly and also for the rest of the audience.

Jane and I attended the Heart Foundation of Tasmania annual Ball at Wrest Point last Saturday night. 500 people attended and generously paid for items such as fine wine from the Tassie region and trips to the Blue Mountains and the Federal Group’s Luxury resort Sapphire on the Freycinet Coast to name a few. They also supported the pledge for DNA testing for cardiac problems in young children. Over 100 pledges were received which was terrific. Congratulations to Graeme, Melita and the team at the Heart Foundation who did a wonderful job staging the event.
We especially want to thank our v good friends and sponsors Tim and Jill Johnstone and all the team at Edward Windsor Real Estate who looked after us beautifully.
